RecallVault is an independent spatial memory app for iPhone and iPad. Inside the app you build a Zone Atlas, stash and confirm placements, find items with confidence-ranked answers, run Departure Sweeps before you leave, pack numbered move boxes, and review a Traces timeline.
Placements stay on this device. RecallVault is not a medical, legal, or security system — a personal memory aid for physical items. It is not affiliated with any locksmith, moving company, pharmacy, or document service.

Your vault records stay on your device.
RecallVault is built around local storage. We do not operate user accounts on our servers, and we do not sell your personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes how RecallVault (the “Application”) handles information when you use our spatial memory companion for physical belongings. The Application is provided by the publisher of RecallVault (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Information We Collect
RecallVault does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location inside the app. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Home label and household member names you enter
- Zones, stashed items, categories, tags, and micro-location notes
- Trace events (moves, confirms) and confidence-related timestamps
- Departure Sweep checklists and completion state
- Move box numbers and contents manifests
- Pins, appearance preferences, and optional photos you attach to items
- Widget summary fields shared via an on-device App Group
How We Use Information
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to profile, share, or sell. Atlas, Find, Sweep, Traces, boxes, export, widget, and Live Activity operate using data stored on your device.
Data Storage & Retention
Your content remains in the app’s private storage on your device (Application Support), with a mirrored summary for widgets in an App Group container on the same device. There is no cloud sync and no remote backup operated by us. Clearing data in Settings or deleting the app permanently removes associated local data from your device.
Camera, Photos & Optional Network Imagery
Camera and Photo Library access are optional and used only when you choose to attach a photo to a stashed item. Those photos stay on your device. Decorative atmosphere images in the app may load from a public image CDN when a network is available; those requests do not include your vault contents, household names, or placement history.
Notifications & Live Activity
If you enable local notifications or a Departure Sweep Live Activity, those features use Apple’s system frameworks on your device. We do not receive the content of your Lock Screen or notification data on our servers.
Data Security
Since your vault records are not transmitted to our servers, they are not exposed to remote storage risks operated by us. Your data is protected by your device’s own safeguards.
Children’s Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because personal data is not transmitted to us, the app aligns with COPPA-style expectations for apps that do not gather personal data remotely.
Your Control
You can edit or delete local content at any time in the app, reload demo sample data, clear all data in Settings, or uninstall the Application to remove stored content from your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
